collezione storica 403_Swartzia flaemingii_GS; date and locality inferred from Raddi's biography and the protologue. Specimen considered as the holotype of Swartzia flaemingii by Cowan (1967); however, there are two other specimens in PI (PI004888 and PI004889) collected by Raddi that are original material and that make arguable the recognition of PI004887 as the holotype.
