D. Reich (WU) 2021: no effective publication of Salix marianii could be traced, Kerner probably referred to an unpublished name communicated to him by F. Porcius [as Portzius]. The material thus probably represents an authentic specimen associated with this name.
E. Hörandl (GOET) 2026: the specimen matches S. breviserrata Flod. which does not occur in the Carpathians.
