Habitus
Small bamboo up to 6 m tall, most plants schortr. Culms weak, hollow, leaning over vegetation. Culm sheaths deciduous with reflexed blade, also deciduous, 3-4 branches per node; in smaller branches 2. Oral., setae silky, white.
