Habitat
Cut-over forest on hillside.
Habitus
Locally common bamboo, the culms thin-walled, hollow, at first erect, then becoming more delicate and clambering over other plants. New culms bluish-green, retrorsely scabrous, the nodes with a thick prominent ridge. Culm leaves caducous: sheath purplish-green, becoming a lustrous brown; blade reflexed, light green. Foliage blades pendent. In better part of forest plants are more developed, reaching 10m, and with more branches at the node.
