Scheuer (GZU) 2013-03-18: There exists an alternative but less detailed protologue, probably from the same year, in Peck (1878: 67), which gives an additional locality ("Buffalo") and "June to August" as the collecting date. If this one had been published earlier than Cent. 10 of Thümen's Mycotheca universalis, this specimen would probably be an Isosyntype, not an Isotype.]
